Dr. Olaf Neubert has dedicated himself to the private equity industry over the last 25 years, and brings to the table a substantial understanding of the inner workings of the global investor community. With his European heritage and professional experience, he has developed a well-recognized investor access especially in Europe. This has enabled him to successfully conclude diverse mandates even during the most difficult periods. Olaf has introduced his top flight fund manager clients to institutional investors under his umbrella of trust. Over time he has initiated and helped build many successful LP-GP relationships. He is highly respected and recognized by investors and fund managers alike.
The whole TopCap team and Olaf's partners, Alexander Mettenheimer, Konstantin Seliverstov and Christian Stoiber at TopCap Partners (Europe) GmbH, share this philosophy and approach to placement services.
Fund Raising is much more than a one-time fund raising event. It is a sequence of carefully planned steps that lead to a successful partnership between an investor and a fund manager. Bringing these two parties together is our primary goal at TopCap Partners. On one end, we are proud of our deep investor relationships, cultivated and developed over many years. These investors share with us their insights and knowledge and identify their needs. We seek to assist them in finding the right managers thanks to our expansive GP network built over the years as a leading Secondaries Buy-side Agent. Thus, TopCap Partners is aptly positioned to identify and select top level institutional quality management teams.
Bringing both sides together with trust and integrity in an efficient process is the hallmark of our successes for both investors and fund managers. We are building a deep and trusted relationship with our fund manager clients, expanding over various fund cycles. This allows us to build ties between the fund managers and the investor community, truly representing and accompanying a fund manager and its investors on their voyage over a longer period of time. The knowledge and respect earned in this way is not only rewarding, it creates the base for successful relationships, trust and repeat investments.

TopCap Partners is a leading Buy-side Agent for Private Equity Secondaries, working as agent and advisor with the principal dedicated Secondaries investors = Secondaries GPs, as well as institutional and private investors in Secondaries. Olaf Neubert pioneered the Secondaries Buy-side Agency concept back in 2002 when there were just 24 dedicated Secondaries GP buyers. The buyers' universe has grown substantially since then and today more than 80% of TopCap's Secondaries business is concluded with Secondaries investors such as Family Offices, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds and other investors in Secondaries. Working with the capital side allowed him insights and understanding of their needs and requirements. He built the firm's reputation on this unique positioning and a track record of delivering attractive transactions and consistent deal flow to Secondaries investors.
Discretion, integrity and trust are the cornerstone of this successful approach.
