Our Approach to Placement Services

Fund Raising is much more than a one-time fund raising event. It is a sequence of carefully planned steps that lead to a successful partnership between an investor and a fund manager. Bringing these two parties together is our primary goal at TopCap Partners. On one end, we are proud of our deep investor relationships, cultivated and developed over many years. These investors share with us their insights and knowledge, enabling us direct visibility into their needs and preferences. We seek to assist them in finding the right managers thanks to our expansive GP network built over the years as a leading Secondaries Buy-side Agent. Thus, TopCap Partners is aptly positioned to identify and select top level institutional quality management teams.

Bringing both sides together with trust and integrity in an efficient process is the hallmark of our successes for both investors and fund managers. We are building a deep and trusted relationships with our fund manager clients, expanding over various fund cycles. This allows us to build ties between the fund managers and the investor community, truly representing and accompanying a fund manager and its investors on their voyage over a longer period of time. The knowledge and respect earned in this way is not only rewarding, it creates the base for successful relationships, trust and repeat investments.

Secondaries

TopCap Partners is a leading Buy-side Agent for Private Equity Secondaries, working as agent and advisor with the principal dedicated Secondaries investors = Secondaries funds, as well as institutional and private investors in Secondaries. Olaf Neubert pioneered the Secondaries Buy-side Agency concept back in 2002, originally under the name of Hedges Capital, when there were just 24 dedicated Secondaries GP buyers. The buyers' universe has grown substantially since then and today TopCap's Secondaries business is mainly concluded with Secondaries investors such as Family Offices, Insurance Companies, Pension Funds and other Institutional Investors in Secondaries. Working with the capital side allowed him insights and understanding of their needs and requirements. He built and solidified the firm's reputation on this unique positioning and track record as a trusted source of consistent deal flow delivering attractive and differentiated transactions to Secondaries investors.

Discretion, integrity and trust are the cornerstones of this successful approach at TopCap.
